Clarity – 4C’s of Diamond Certification
Evaluating the Diamond Clarity
Clarity establishes how naturally flawless a diamond is. Clarity grades are assigned to diamonds based on the flaws detected with a ten-power magnification.
Most inclusions (internal flaws) and blemishes (external flaws) in the diamond are what makes each diamond unique and have little or no effect on the diamond’s quality or light performance. However, diamonds with little or no imperfections are very rare and therefore more expensive.
The Chart below offers an international clarity scale.
