EGL Asia Announces Opening of Two New Labs in Asia at Launch of Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair
Hong Kong: September 14, 2011 - Hong Kong-headquartered EGL Asia announced it will open
two new labs in Asia, in Shenzen, Southern China, and Taipei, the
capital of Taiwan.
The two labs will open their doors in early October. The announcement was made to coincide with the opening of the Hong Kong Jewellery and Gem Fair.
To celebrate the opening of the two new branches of EGL Asia, Kuzi said his lab would be offering free grading and laser inscription services at the September 14-19 Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair at its booth at the Asia World-Expo (AWE), Hall 7, 7M32-34, 7N 31-33.
EGL Asia CEO Joseph Kuzi said the lab had decided to establish a presence - by means of a local, Chinese representative - in the Shenzen area as he felt that EGL Asia needed to offer its services on site in southern China. Meanwhile, the lab in Taipei will be the only foreign laboratory out of the "big four" that will offer full diamond identification and grading services in the Taiwanese capital.
In addition to full diamond identification and grading services in Taiwan, EGL Asia will also offer identification and grading services for jade, a gem that has a special status in Asian culture.
